» Guidance

In order to promote the development of the total person, Ridgewood offers a comprehensive guidance program under the direction of a full-time guidance counselor. Individual and group academic, personal, and college counseling is available. Age appropriate guidance classes and programs are conducted for all grades.

Each Ridgewood student is provided on-going college counseling throughout high school. Ninth and tenth graders begin with college admissions testing preparation. Juniors and their parents receive group guidance on the college admissions process. As seniors, students are individually scheduled for conferences and aided in selecting a college, completing applications, writing essays, and applying for financial aid.

High school students, on alternating years, participate in Career Day and College Night. In addition, Ridgewood allows college representatives to visit throughout the year and acquaint students with the various available career options.
