Welcome to Ridgewood’s Middle School

Grades 5 through 8

Ridgewood employs a middle school principal to oversee grades five through eight and develop, in conjunction with the counselor and headmaster, programming and curriculum appropriate to the special needs of these students.

The middle school program includes English, mathematics, reading, spelling, physical education, science, computer science, music, social studies, speech and art.

All courses are taught by high school specialists insuring a high correlation of goals and curriculum with the high school. Math and English courses are advanced by one year. Middle school students (8th gr.) earn one high school credit in three subjects: English, Physical Science, and Algebra I.

Extra and Co-Curricular Activities

Middle school students have access to a variety of extra and co-curricular activities, including the Library and Science clubs, the school band, and the athletics program.
