Muller attends leadership conference in D.C.
Nominated & Selected to receive the 2008 Youth Leadership Award
Joshua Muller attended a National Youth Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. from April 15 to April 20, 2008. He joined 300 other young leaders from across the nation to experience the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and deepen their understanding of our democratic form of government.
This event was a chance for young Americans to discuss current issues with those who shape our policies and laws. Joshua was able to meet with Louisiana State Representatives, Senator Mary Landrieu, Senator David Vitter, National Press; visit Capitol Hill; and engage in interactive meetings related to leadership development.
Nominated & Selected into a distinguished organization entitled, “People to People Ambassador Class of 2008.”
Student Ambassadors demonstrate leadership and citizenship, a desire to learn about diverse cultures, and willingness to venture into the world in the name of peace, friendship, and understanding. This program was started in 1956 by our 34th president of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and the organization has remained dedicated to the mission of promoting world peace through increased understanding between citizens of the world.
Joshua has the opportunity to represent Ridgewood Prep School, our community, the state of Louisiana, and our great nation in experiencing a 20 day educational trip to Europe. Itinerary encompasses travel to England, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, and Germany from June 15 to July 4, 2008.
