Arush Sarwar, a senior at Ridgewood, has been named a finalist in the 2009 competition for National Merit Scholarship.

Arush Sarwar recently scored highest in Louisiana on the ACT with a composite score of 36. Arush was one of only 172 students nationwide to score a 36, the highest possible score. Congratulations, Arush! Arush’s achievement was the topic of a July 24th story in the Times Picayune. The story is available online at Nola.com.

Ridgewood was presented with the United States flag from the Department of the Army. SSG Christopher Young, unit HSC 769th personally presented the flag to the school. Ridgewood received a certificate stating that the flag was flown over the headquarters of the Multi-National Corp-Iraq in our honor during Operation Iraqi Freedom ’06-08.
